Our customer in Thailand, The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) published a video about the development of steel support for installation of Arkasil dry type terminations type MKBC on the poles of overhead lines. For the project Nakornratchasima 115 kV under the request of PEA Arkasil developed a solution for double circuit lines allowing the installation of two flexible terminations with one supporting insulator. PEA designed and created the steel structures for the installation of double circuit termination on the rising poles with the support of rigid insulator or surge arrester.  

The usage of dry flexible terminations has distinct advantages compared to the conventional oil filled terminations, such us simpler and faster installation, lower weight, lack of oil and s risk of the oil leakage. Combined termination for double circuit has a very compact design and is ideal for the installation on the overhead lines poles, the cost of usage of new, modern design doesn't exceed the cost for two conventional terminations.

6 double terminations supplied by Arkasil were already installed and energised under the supervision of our specialist. 6 more accessoires are expected to be installed soon.

Based on the received experience PEA is going to make this solution standard for new projects.

At the beginning of July we signed a contract for delivery of 24 dry type cable terminations MKBC 145 to Thailand. These products will be used at the cable line 115 kV from SS "Nakornratchasrima" (Thailand, province Nakornratchasrima), which is being constructed by PEA (Provincial Electricity Authority).

Although Arkasil has been cooperating with PEA for years now, it’s our first delivery of dry type terminations to Thailand.

At the end of March 2020 Arkasil signed a big contract for delivery of cable accessories and supervision for installation in Poland. 

During this month we will supply the 71 pcs. of joints MCB 145 and 3 pcs. of cable terminations MKB 145. 

This order is intended to install at a new onshore Wind Farm in Udanin (Poland). The working capacity of this Wind Farm will be 50 Mw. Should also be noticed that Poland as other European Union’s countries has strived to come to “green” electrical power. Using of Wind turbines at the Wind farm Udanin will be able to increase a share of renewable energy in Poland.
